Employee Punchin Machine

Module Overview

The instructions and setup steps provided in this document apply to eSSL brand attendance machines. All features, connectivity methods and integration flow are based on the working structure of eSSL biometric devices.

The PunchIn Machine module in Semsto is used to manage and register all biometric or device-based attendance systems integrated with your organization. It ensures that the employee punch-in and punch-out data are accurately recorded from the right devices and helps maintain synchronization between multiple attendance machines.

Note: This module is default disabled and if you want to enable it then connect to support.

PunchIn Machine List
The main PunchIn Machine screen displays all the registered machines along with their basic details. This page gives an overview of how many machines are configured and their assigned punch-in types.
Field Name Description
Action Provides options to edit or delete an existing punch-in machine.
PunchIn Machine Id Displays the system-generated unique ID for each machine.
Machine Id Displays the name or ID assigned to the punch-in machine by the administrator.
Machine Type Indicates whether the machine is used for In, Out, or All punch operations.

Other Functionalities
  • Search Bar: Search for machines by ID or name.
  • Filter: Filter machines based on type (In, Out, or All).
  • Add PunchIn Machine: Opens a popup form to add a new machine.

Add PunchIn Machine Page
The Add PunchIn Machine form is used to add a new punch-in device or update an existing one.
Field Name Description
Machine Id Enter a unique machine identifier (Mandatory field). Example: C01, 00:17:61:11:c5:4d.
PunchIn Machine Type Select the type of machine — In, Out, or All (Mandatory field).

Buttons
  • Save: Saves the new punch-in machine details into the system.
  • Close: Closes the form without saving.

How to Add a PunchIn Machine
  1. Navigate to PunchIn Machine from the side menu.
  2. Click the + Add PunchIn Machine button.
  3. Fill in the following details
    • Machine Id: Enter the unique identifier of the machine.
    • PunchIn Machine Type: Select whether it is for In, Out, or All operations.
  4. Click Save to save the new entry or Close to exit without saving.

How to Edit or Delete a PunchIn Machine
  • Edit: Click the pencil icon next to a record to modify its details. Update the machine name or type and click Save.
  • Delete: Click the trash icon to remove a machine record from the list. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
