Overview
The Evaluation KPIs module in Semsto is used to define and manage Key Performance Indicator (KPI) sections for employee evaluations.
Each KPI section represents a measurable area of performance, which can be assigned specific weightage and linked with existing KPI evaluation criteria.
This module helps HR departments and managers create balanced performance evaluation structures that align with company goals.
Purpose
The Evaluation KPIs module helps organizations to:
- Define KPI sections with assigned weightage for performance evaluation.
- Associate KPI questions or criteria with each section for accurate assessment.

How This KPI Will Be Used During Evaluation
During employee evaluation
- The evaluator will rate each KPI item individually.
- Each rating will contribute a weighted score.
- The final score for each category will be calculated.
- The sum of all categories gives the Technical Skill Development Score.
- This final score contributes to the employee's full-year or quarter performance evaluation.
Best Practices for Creating KPI Sections
- Keep KPIs measurable
- Use simple and clear KPI titles
- Do not exceed the section's total weightage
- Weightage distribution should match the importance of each KPI
- Include behavior-based + performance-based KPIs
- Review KPIs quarterly to ensure relevance
